Our Team
Our Hope team is filled with passionate, enthusiastic, and deeply gifted people who love pouring into the ministry at Hope Church. Our team truly loves and cares for one another which is displayed by how much fun they always seem to have! We believe each of these individuals has been called by God to serve in their roles ‘for such a time as this.’
Pastor Kevin loves living and serving in the same Westwood neighborhood that he grew up in! Kevin and his wife Meg have three children: Miles, Crosby, and Daisy, and one rambunctious dog named Henry. Kevin is deeply passionate about helping people take their next step with God, whether it’s their first or fiftieth. Kevin has been at Hope since August 2015 - first as Youth Pastor, then as Associate Pastor, and since March 2020 he has served as Lead Pastor. Prior to Hope, Kevin led a campus ministry on the campus of WMU. A graduate of Grand Valley State University and Western Theological Seminary, Kevin loves his home state and is grateful to enjoy all four seasons, including his favorite, winter! Kevin loves his time with family, playing guitar, reading dense fantasy novels, playing games, and is a die-hard Pistons fan. Whether in the halls at church, at the drop-off line at his kids’ schools, or walking the neighborhood, Kevin would love to chat with you!
Allison was born into the Hope family back in 1986 and just won’t leave! :) Allison and her husband Chad have four kids: Drake, Cora, Melody, and Brooke. They also have a jumpy puppy named Boba Fett and possibly a cat named Indiana Jones. Allison has many different roles at Hope but loves the planning and energy in getting outside the church walls and ministering to those within our Westwood neighborhood through fun events and projects! Allison is a graduate of KVCC and Cornerstone University. In a past life, Allison was an avid tennis player. Much of her time these days is spent playing with and picking up after kiddos (and Chad!). She still enjoys a good walk with some worship music in her ears, having the windows open with a good breeze, and doing a little bird watching! Allison desires to be faithful to her calling as an ambassador of Christ and nurture others on in their calling as well. She believes that everyone has a unique role to play in faith communities and can’t wait to talk with you about how you feel called to minister to others at Hope and in the surrounding community!
